It was a quiet night to be a judge at the BEC Arena for Cage Warriors 177 on Friday.
With just one of nine bouts going to a decision, the action came thick and fast at the promotion's return to the Unplugged format.
Two thirds of the card ended in the first round and this was the story of the main event as Chasen Blair continued his recent trend of ending things early.
The American earned his sixth win as a pro by submitting Florin Pîrtea via a triangle choke after his opponent chose to take the fight to the floor.
Highly regarded rising contender Ollie Sarwa made a statement on his debut in the yellow gloves, securing the fastest finish of the night in the co-main event after stopping Percy Herrera in under a minute.
Frankly, with how many fights ended in impressive fashion, you could pick out a talking point in each and every fight but it was the final five of the night that produced the most noteworthy displays.
Marin Vetrila put on a dominant display against Adam Shelley to properly announce himself as a threat in the lightweight division.
Upset of the night came courtesy of Alish Smith who stopped Rhi Rhi Hudson in the second round following some fiery exchanges between the two.
Another American that had a good night across the pond was the undefeated Anthony Orozco who continues to impress as a pro following a highly credentialed amateur career.
He moved to 4-0 with another decisive performance against Thiago Habib which he capped off by getting his man out of there in the first round.
Check out the full results below and remember, Cage Warriors is back for the second part of this Manchester double bill with CW 178 on Saturday night.
