Strawweight dynamo Danial Williams has shown his mettle across MMA, kickboxing, and Muay Thai during his tenure in ONE Championship, and he's out to test the fortitude of his foe in his upcoming outing.

"Mini T" returns to take on Chinese prodigy Banma Douji in a strawweight MMA encounter at ONE Fight Night 24: Nicolas vs. Eersel II on Saturday, 5, October, inside Bangkok, Thailand's Lumpinee Stadium.

The pair have a similar all-action approach to their bouts. They both dish out the pressure and refuse to back down. However, Williams feels they'll have the advantage when it comes to adjusting on the fly when things aren't going his way.

"I think he's got good boxing. He's long and has a long reach. He's quick. He's got good hands. I reckon he's got good takedowns as well from the two fights I've seen in ONE, and even previous fights as well," he assessed.

"I think he doesn't like pressure. I think I'm going to test his heart out because I think that when he knows his best shots aren't working on you, I think he loses a bit of heart. So, that's what I want to test out."

In 2022, Williams went on a three-fight winning streak in the stacked strawweight MMA division, toppling notable stars Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, Namiki Kawahara, and Zelang Zhaxi in that time.

However, since returning to the all-encompassing sport, fortune has not favoured the Thai-Aussie star, so he is laser-focused on finding the win at ONE Fight Night 25.

Williams knows his fighting style is value for money, and that crowds will come to see him. But he wants to be more than just the man on the other side of firefights. He wants to be the winner. He wants to collect scalps again, starting with Banma.

"This time around, I'm just going to keep the pressure and just train to be able to be resilient, and then, yeah, also keep the entertainment," Williams said.

"I would love to build some new highlights because I've seen the same highlights of mine. I need to get some new highlights out there. So, I just want to be entertaining and just go for that finish."
