LFA 194 went down at Niagra Falls last night where two highly regarded welterweights delivered statement first-round finishes.

In the main event of the evening, Shamidkhan Magomedov defended the interim welterweight title in just one minute and 17 seconds.

He dropped Alfonso Leyva clean with strikes and though his opponent quickly returned to his feet and backed up to the cage, Magomedov followed up with a second knockdown that saw the referee step in.

This walk-off finish has got the Russian back on track following his shock defeat at the hands of Omran Chaaban on the most recent series of The Ultimate Fighter.

Earlier on in the night, Austin Vanderford announced his arrival in LFA by finishing Victor Romero in just over a minute.

The former Bellator title contender has been out of action for over two years after fighting seven times under the Bellator banner.

In fights against the likes of Fabian Edwards and Gegard Mousasi, it was his wrestling that was his biggest strength but he didn't need to call on it this time around.

After hurting his opponent on the feet, Vanderford found the finish by dropping his man with a jab.

At 34-years old, Vanderford showed that he still has plenty to offer the sport despite his long lay-off after parting ways with his previous promotion.

The co-main event of the evening also ended in quick fashion after Mirafzal Akhtamov submitted Scottie Stockman in under a minute via guillotine choke.
