Flyweight contender Aaron Aby did not secure the result that he wanted last time out at OKTAGON 56.

The Welsh fighter came up short in his vacant flyweight title fight with Sam Creasey in Birmingham, England earlier this year.

Despite the significance of losing a title fight compared to any regular fight, Aby tries to look at it like any other setback in order to make the bounce back process easier.

"Coming back from the Sam Creasey loss has been different from coming back from any other loss really," Aby told Fighters Only. "You sit down, take the emotional stand point out of it and just try to reflect on what went wrong, what could have gone better and how you can look forward and improve in the future"

Aby believes that he didn't perform close to his best in this fight but he's still able to take some positives away from the fight before he looks to bounce back on his return this Saturday.

"Even in the last Sam Creasey fight, I showed improvements from the last time that I fought Sam so to me, it's just about staying on that same process again and tightening things up again. I've had a lot more time since the last one to do that and the thing I feel that I should have done better in the Sam Creasey fight that I definitely want to do better in this fight is fight at my pace."

At the Tipos Arena in Bratislava for OKTAGON 63 on November 9, Aby has a great opportunity to return to the win column against a new and exciting addition to the division.

Zhalgas Zhumagulov signed to OKTAGON after earning back-to-back wins following his UFC departure having competed inside the Octagon seven times.

Though Zhumagulov may not have the most impressive record from his time with the UFC, Aby knows that this does not do his skill level justice.

"He's good. He's well-rounded. He's got good striking, good wrestling, good grappling, so I'm expecting a tough fight and again, a fight where decision making is gonna be key.

"It's a good opportunity for me for sure. Someone with as big a name as him and fought on the shows that he has is exciting. You want to be testing yourself against the best in the world and fighting these big names that can give you these challenges so when the name was sent over to me, I was delighted to get it and it's everything I expect from OKTAGON. They're doing great things and bringing in the best fighters from all over the world"

This fight also provides Aby with the opportunity to compete on one of OKTAGON's big events in Europe for the first time when he makes the walk in Slovakia.

His three previous fights with the promotion have all come in England with Manchester, Newcastle and Birmingham being ticked off the list.

Now, he's excited to get the full on OKTAGON experience as he tries to deliver a statement victory against a highly-regarded opponent.

"I'm looking forward to introducing myself to the OKTAGON fans who are from Slovakia, Czech Republic and Germany and getting myself out there on a wider perspective rather than just fighting on the UK shows. I love doing that but it's nice to get on an away show and be able to show my skills to a new audience and I've still got a lot of people coming."
