An important light heavyweight showdown with a fascinating clash of styles will take place in Karlovy Vary.
Former Glory kickboxer, Daniel Škvor (11-4), takes on Polish MMA legend, Tomasz Narkun (21-7), at OKTAGON 95 on Saturday, October 17. Mattoni Arena will host the event which goes down in the same Czech city as the International Film Festival in one of the most beautiful locations in Europe.
Škvor was scheduled to rematch Will Fleury earlier this month for the championship but had to withdraw due to an injury. ‘DeeDee’ is riding a four-fight winning run all of which ended with a stoppage before the end of round two including against Marc Doussis and Patrick Vespaziani. He will be the fan favourite for those in attendance and looking to cement his position as a top contender if he can pick up the biggest win of his career to date.
Narkun is one of the most decorated mixed martial artists of all time from Poland and has a devastating 95% finishing rate. The former KSW title holder made his OKTAGON debut in Szczecin earlier this year but came up short against Alexander Poppeck over fifteen minutes. ‘Giraffe’, who owns two victories over Mamed Khalidov, knows this a huge opportunity to place himself immediately into the conversation for the belt and prove that he can still challenge with the best on the continent.
Further fight announcements for OKTAGON 95 will be confirmed over the coming weeks.
