ONE Championship has announced that on February 20, it will return to the Lusail Sports Arena in Qatar.

ONE 171 will see the promotion host its second major event in Qatar following ONE 166 in March which was one of the promotion's biggest events of 2024.

In collaborating with Visit Qatar and Media City Qatar, ONE is promising multiple world title matches and the very best in MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing and submission grappling.

ONE 166 earlier this year featured three MMA title fight rematches at the top of the card.

Anatoly Malykhin refeated Reinier de Ridder to make history as a three-weight world champion, Tang Kai defended the featherweight gold against Thanh Le and Joshua Pacio won back the strawweight belt via a disqualification to Jarred Brooks.

This marks the third major event that ONE already has pencilled in for early in 2025.

ONE Fight Night 26 is set to end take place on December 6 but with ONE Fight Night 27 and ONE 170 taking place in January, there is plenty to look forward to in the new year.

The promotion has also announced that the card will be broadcast live via beIN Sports in the MENA region with ONE 166 being watched by nearly 20 million fans.

ONE CEO and Chairman Chatri Sityodtong published the following statement alongside the announcement:

"After a succesful event in Qatar last March, ONE Championship will return to Lusail Sports Arena in early 2025 for another showcase of the world's best martial arts talent. We're putting together another explosive card that fans will now want to miss, featuring our elite World Championship athletes across all of our martial arts disciplines. We can't wait to ignite Qatar with hope, strength, dreams, and inspiration once again. I would like to personally thank Visit Qatar and Media City Qatar for giving us another opportunity to make history."
