The UFC will be returning to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on March 8 for a typically big night in the fight capital of the world.
Another big match-up has now been reported for UFC 313 as a veteran contender takes on one of the lightweight division's most exciting arrivals in recent times.
Mauricio Ruffy is one of the major names from the Fighting Nerds team in Brazil who is making some serious noise right now.
Alongside his fellow teammates Caio Borralho, Jean Silva, Carlos Prates and Bruna Brasil, the team had a very impressive run in 2024 and Ruffy was certainly a part of that.
After earning his spot on the roster via a huge result on the 2023 season of Dana White's Contender Series, the 28-year old produced one of the most impressive Octagon debuts in some time when he dismantled Jamie Mullarkey inside one round at UFC 301 in Brazil.
His second outing of the year where he defeated James Llontop at UFC 309 was less impressive but clearly the UFC have got high hopes for the dynamic striker.
Alex Behunin reported that in his third bout with the MMA leader, Ruffy will face a big step up when he takes on 50-fight veteran King Green.
Whilst he isn't as dynamic, Green is also a slick stand-up specialist which should make for an incredibly exciting match-up between them.
The 38-year old has alternated big wins and tough losses in his last four outings, having beaten Grant Dawson and Jim Miller in style whilst also being stopped by Jalin Turner and Paddy Pimblett.
UFC 309 was the first time that Ruffy has ever gone to a decision but he's also never faced an opponent like Green.
Whilst the fan favourite may not be as durable as he once was, he's still a very unique and dangerous challenge for anyone in the world.
