UFC fans witnessed a changing of the guard in the main event at UFC Saudi Arabia this past weekend.

Former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya returned to the Octagon for the first time since his loss to current champ Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 305 last August.

In what was supposed to be the first step in "The Last Stylebender's" road back to the top of the division, he instead suffered a third consecutive defeat when he was knocked out in the second round by rising French contender Nassourdine Imavov.

In the co-main event, former Bellator star Michael "Venom" Page became the first fighter to beat Shara "Bullet" Magomedov. "MVP" made the move up from 170 lbs to take on the previously unbeaten Russian and dominated over three full rounds to walk away with the unanimous decision victory.

Elsewhere on the main card, Sergei Pavlovich and Jairzinho Rozenstruik delivered a 15-minute heavyweight snooze-fest and although Pavlovich walked away with the decision victory, the performance won't do much for his bid to be included in any future title discussions.
