One of the most sought-after young prospects in European MMA, Keith Keogh (1-0), has signed a muti-fight deal with Cage Warriors, the promotion revealed this week.
The Irish featherweight will make his debut in the famous yellow gloves in his hometown at Cage Warriors 188 at the RDS in Dublin on April 26th.
After a stellar amateur career where he amassed a 15-1 record, Keogh had his maiden outing in the professional ranks in May of 2024, picking up a first-round stoppage win over Cristiano Ribeiro at Cage Legacy 22 in Liverpool, England.
"Who doesn't want to be a part of Cage Warriors?" said Keogh while speaking exclusively to Fighters Only this week. "In my opinion, if you're a European fighter who's long-term goal is to fight in the UFC, Cage Warriors is where you need to be".
Cage Warriors has a rich history of not only producing future UFC fighters, but has also spawned numerous champions on the biggest stage, and that clear pathway to the Octagon is something that Keogh says was pivotal in his decision to sign with the UK-based promotion.
"It's the pinnacle of the European fight game" said the 23-year-old, "they have the best fighters from this part of the world, and not just Ireland and the UK. You look at names like Ilia Topuria and Joanna Jędrzejczyk, who came through here and went on to win UFC titles, alongside the likes of Conor McGregor and Tom Aspinall".
Keogh becomes the latest in a line of exciting young Irish talents to sign with Cage Warriors within the past year, following in the footsteps of Max Lally (3-0) and Conor McCarthy (3-0), both of whom will likely also be in action at Cage Warriors 188.
"Honestly, signing with Cage Warriors was a no-brainer...I got chills down my spine when I saw the promotion posting online about my signing. I'm ready to make a big statement in the professional game, I have loads of new tools to show and I can't wait to get started on this new journey on the 26th of April in my hometown of Dublin".
Cage Warriors 188 goes down at the RDS in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday, April 26th and is set to be headlined by a welterweight title fight between reigning champion James "Jimbo Slice" Sheehan and Justin Burlinson.
