A massive week is in store in the world of mixed martial arts, with London, England in particular bracing itself to host some exceptional fights on both Friday and Saturday night.
Let's take a look at some of the elite-level MMA action taking place this weekend.
Cage Warriors 186 (Friday)
As is the norm the night before UFC London takes place, the Indigo at the 02 is set to host a bumper Cage Warriors card this Friday night, featuring a selection of some of the most exciting up-and-coming talents on the European scene.
In a bizarre twist of fate, the card is now set to feature two brothers defending their respective world titles on the same night, following the news that lightweight champion George Hardwick's opponent Lucas Clay fell out of their scheduled title bout that was set for Cage Warriors 184 last Friday.
Hardwick (13-2) will be in action this week instead, although the promotion have yet to confirm the identity of his opponent.
In the main event, featherweight champion Harry Hardwick (12-3-1) looks to make the second succesful defense of his belt when he takes on Javier Garcia (12-5).
LFA 204 (Saturday)
Mashantucket, Connecticut will be the setting for Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) 204 on Saturday night, where the heavyweight title will be up for grabs in the main event.
Hugo Cunha (8-2) returns to the LFA cage, where he remains unbeaten, following an unsuccesful detour on the most recent season of Dana White's Contender Series.
The Brazilian behemoth won the LFA heavyweight strap when he submitted Eduardo Neves ast LAFA 171 in 2023, and has finished all 8 of his professional wins inside the distance.
UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Brady (Saturday)
The cream of the UK crop will be in action inside the Octagon at the 02 Arena on Saturday, as former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards (22-4 MMA, 14-3 UFC) looks to bounce back from his heartbreaking loss to Belal Muhammad at UFC 304 when he faces Sean Brady (17-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) in the main event.
Jan Blachowicz (29-10-1 MMA, 12-7-1 UFC) and Carlos Ulberg (11-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) face off in what could well be a light heavyweight no. 1 contender fight in the co-main, while veteran jiu jitsu phenom Gunnar Nelson (19-5-1 MMA, 10-5 UFC) makes hsi annual walk to the Octagon when he takes on Kevin Holland (26-13 MMA, 13-10 UFC).
ONE 172 (Sunday)
ONE 172 goes down at Japan's Saitama Super Arena on Sunday, and while the card is predominantly made up of Muay Thai and kickboxing superfights, there is a hint of MMA action sprinkled on top for good measure.
Adriano Moraes (21-5) and Yuya Wakamatsu (18-6) square off for the flyweight world title, while Japanese veteran Shinya Aoki (48-11) returns to face Eduard Folayang (23-13), and hot prospect Aiden Lee (2-0) will be in action against fellow unbeaten star Shozo Isojima (5-0).
