Fans at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida on Saturday night were treated to a sensational evening of action as UFC 314 delivered some magical moments.
There were eight finishes in total and the high-profile match-ups on the main card served up some major talking points and huge performances.
In the main event, Alexander Volkanovski became the UFC featherweight champion for the second time, returning from a 13-month layoff to outpoint Diego Lopes over 25 minutes in a chaotic, action-packed battle where both men had their moments.
Paddy Pimblett delivered a career-best performance in the co-main event as he dominated former Bellator champion Michael Chandler before finishing him in round 3 to announce his arrival inside the top 10 at 155 pounds.
Yair Rodrigues returned to the win column with a decision victory over promotional newcomer Patricio "Pitbull" Freire.
Jean Silva increased his UFC record to 5-0 as he submitted Bryce Mitchell, while the revival of Dominick Reyes' career continued in the main car opener as he finished Nikita Krylov inside the opening round.
UFC 314 Bonus Winners
- For the first time in a month, the UFC handed out a 'fight of the night' award. Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes each collected an extra $50,000 following their epic battle in the main event.
- Paddy Pimblett walked away with an extra $50,000 after collecting a 'performance of the night' bonus following the beatdown he dished out to Michael Chandler.
- Jean Silva pocketed $50,000 as a result of his performance and submission win over Bryce Mitchell.
