The official weigh-ins for UFC Vegas 106, which takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday night, took place at UFC host hotel today.
All 24 athletes due to compete at the event made successfully weight without any issues today, and all within a 40-minute stretch.
The event is set to be headlined by fascinating contest between former welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns (22-8 MMA, 15-8 UFC) and rising star Michael Morales (17-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC). 12th-ranked Morales has a great opportunity to crack the top ten should he overcome "Durinho", who hasn't won a fight in over two years and enters this weekend's contest in the middle of the worst losing skid of his career having lost three bouts in a row.
In the co-main event, Rodolfo Bellato (12-2-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Paul Craig (17-9-1 MMA, 9-9-1 UFC) will go head-to-head as Craig makes his return to the light heavyweight division after a troubling run at 185 pounds. Craig had gotten off to a winning start in the middleweight division by beating Andre Muniz, but like Gilbert Burns has also suffered three consecutive defeats and will be hoping that the move back up to 205 pounds will be the catalyst for an upswing in his fortunes.
