One of the year’s most stacked pay-per-view events takes place this weekend at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with two world titles up for grabs.
A heated main-event rematch, a fascinating stylistic clash in the co-headliner, and a pivotal showdown between two of the UFC’s most feared strikers make Saturday’s card must-see television.
Here’s a closer look at the action set for the main card.
Magomed Ankalaev vs. Alex Pereira (UFC Light Heavyweight Championship)
The man with the longest active unbeaten streak (14) in the UFC’s light heavyweight division will defend his crown in this weekend’s main event. Magomed Ankalaev (20-1-1 MMA, 12-1-1 UFC) had to bide his time before earning a title shot, but after dethroning Alex Pereira (12-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC) at UFC 313 earlier this year, he’ll be aiming to repeat that result and put an end to their increasingly heated rivalry.
For “Poatan,” the mission is simple: let his hands go. The Brazilian owns the record for the highest percentage of significant strikes attempted (64.4%) in UFC light heavyweight history but was uncharacteristically hesitant in their first clash back in March.
Merab Dvalishvili vs. Cory Sandhagen (UFC Bantamweight Championship)
Bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili (20-4 MMA, 14-2 UFC) gets another chance to edge closer to one of the UFC’s most iconic records when he faces Cory Sandhagen (18-5 MMA, 11-4 UFC) in the co-main event.
Riding a 13-fight win streak, “The Machine” is now just three victories shy of Anderson Silva’s legendary record of 16. Since dethroning Sean O’Malley at UFC 306 last year, the Georgian has already defended his belt twice in 2025 and looks to add Sandhagen to his growing list of victims.
“Sandman,” meanwhile, brings creativity and danger. One of only three fighters in UFC history to score wins with both a flying knee and a spinning wheel kick, the Colorado native has vowed to test the champion’s defensive wrestling—while Dvalishvili boldly predicts a knockout of his own.
Jiri Prochazka vs. Khalil Rountree Jr. (Light Heavyweight)
Two of the most dangerous strikers in the light heavyweight division collide this weekend in a matchup with major title implications.
Former champion Jiri Prochazka (31-5-1 MMA, 5-2 UFC) has finished 30 of his 31 career victories by knockout, including all five of his UFC wins. Across the cage, Khalil Rountree Jr. (14-6 MMA, 10-6 UFC) carries seven UFC knockouts, placing him third all-time in divisional history behind legends Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (8) and Chuck Liddell (9).
“The War Horse” also shares the record for most knockdowns at 205 pounds (14) and could claim sole ownership with another knockdown on Saturday.
Josh Emmett vs. Yousef Zalal (Featherweight)
Josh Emmett (19-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC) brings fight-ending power every time he steps into the cage. The veteran holds the record for most knockdowns in featherweight history (12) but will face a tough challenge in trying to extend that tally this weekend.
Youssef Zalal (17-5-1 MMA, 7-3-1 UFC) has looked rejuvenated since rejoining the UFC early last year. After a three-fight skid and a draw led to his release in 2022, “The Moroccan Devil” has bounced back with four straight wins, charging up the 145-pound rankings. Defensively sharp, Zalal boasts the highest significant strike defense rate in the division at 67%.
Joe Pyfer vs. Abus Magomedov (Middleweight)
The main card kicks off with a pivotal middleweight clash between two fighters closing in on the rankings.
Joe Pyfer (14-3 MMA, 5-1 UFC) has built strong momentum in the UFC, most recently earning a statement win over former title challenger Kelvin Gastelum. Across from him, Abus Magomedov (28-6-1 MMA, 4-2 UFC) enters on a three-fight winning streak, highlighted by his April victory over Michel Pereira. Both men see this matchup as a chance to break into the top tier of the division, setting the stage for a high-stakes opener in Las Vegas.
