OKTAGON MMA is set to close out the year with a bang.

OKTAGON 81, the Czech-based promotion’s final fight card of 2025, will be headlined by a massive heavyweight title showdown between reigning champion Will Fleury and former titleholder Martin Buday.

Fleury (15-3) currently holds both the light heavyweight and heavyweight belts, and when he steps into the cage before 20,000 fans at Prague’s O2 Arena on Sunday, December 28, he’ll look to make the first successful defense of the heavyweight title he captured by outpointing Lazar Todev at OKTAGON 68 in March.

Prior to that, the Tipperary native dethroned Karlos Vemola last December to claim the light heavyweight crown, capping an impressive debut year under the OKTAGON banner. Knockout victories over Daniel Škvor and Pavol Langer earned Fleury his shot at the 205-pound strap, and now the 36-year-old adds dual OKTAGON titles to the UAE Warriors Middleweight Championship he secured in 2022.

Martin Buday (16-2 MMA, 7-1 UFC) is set to return to the promotion where he first made his name as heavyweight champion back in 2021. “Badys” captured the title with a knockout victory over Kamil Minda at OKTAGON 25, then went on to stop Lorenzo Hood on Dana White’s Contender Series, earning his ticket to the UFC.

The Slovakian standout went 7-1 inside the Octagon, notching wins over notable opponents including Andrei Arlovski and Marcus Buchecha before his unexpected release from the promotion earlier this year.

OKTAGON 81 will also feature a flyweight title bout between Zhalgas Zhumagulov and challenger David Dvořák, while former bantamweight champion Jonas Magard returns to face Elvis Silva
