The Sofitel Dome in Cotonou, Benin, will host the first-ever PFL Africa tournament finals this Saturday, as the promotion crowns champions in four weight classes to conclude a successful inaugural year for its African division.
The season has proven to be a pleasant surprise for the self-styled “co-leader” of the MMA world, delivering three highly entertaining events across the calendar year.
Let’s break down the main card action at PFL Africa 4.
MAIN CARD
Bantamweight Tournament Final:
Nkosi Ndebele vs. Boule Godogo
Former BRAVE CF bantamweight champion Nkosi Ndebele (10-3) has enjoyed a stellar first year on the PFL roster, earning victories over Mahmoud Atef and Simbarashe Hokonya to secure his place in this weekend’s grand finale.
The South African has long been regarded as one of the continent’s most dangerous knockout artists and holds a significant experience advantage over his opponent in Saturday’s main event.
DR Congo’s Boule Godogo (4-1) was originally defeated at the semifinal stage by Karim Henniene, but steps into the final on short notice after Henniene was forced to withdraw due to injury.
Welterweight Tournament Final
Shido Boris Esperanca vs. Yabna N’Tchala
Few fighters have enjoyed a stronger debut season under the PFL banner than Shido Boris Esperanca (11-1). “The Machine” has racked up three first-round finishes to power his way into the welterweight final, where he will meet Brazilian-based Guinean contender Yabna N’Tchala (13-2-1).
Should Esperanca emerge victorious on Saturday, the Angolan could find himself exploring opportunities on the PFL’s global stage in 2026.
Lightweight
Jean Do Santos vs. Cornel Thompson
Two promotional debutants have been granted a prime-time slot in the middle of Saturday’s main card, as former AKO champion Jean Do Santos (9-1) faces Nigeria’s Cornel Thompson (10-3).
Do Santos enters the bout riding an impressive winning streak and is coming off a sensational eight-second knockout in his most recent outing.
Heavyweight Tournament Final
Justin Clarke vs. Abraham Bably
Manchester Top Team’s Abraham Bably (9-2) will enter Saturday’s bout as a strong favorite when he takes on South Africa’s Justin Clarke (4-0) in the fight to claim the inaugural PFL Africa heavyweight title.
Having tested himself under the Bellator banner and in the PFL’s global tournament, “The One and Only” carries a notable experience edge over his less experienced opponent. That said, Clarke has looked impressive throughout the year and should not be overlooked, having secured two stoppage victories en route to this weekend’s final.
Featherweight Tournament Final
Wasi Adeshina vs. Alain Majorique
The 145-pound tournament comes to a close in Saturday’s main card opener as “The Nigerian Jaguar” Wasi Adeshina (9-3) squares off against Canadian-based veteran Alain Majorique (6-0).
