A huge heavyweight tornado is heading to Berlin.
OKTAGON double champion, Will Fleury (16-3, 1NC), will put his heavyweight belt on the line against accomplished wrestler, Kasim Aras (11-5), at OKTAGON 90 on Saturday, June 20. Uber Arena will host this landmark show for the promotion in the country which promises to be one of the most stacked European MMA cards of the year.
Fleury shocked the world when it took him under two minutes to knock out Martin Buday last December to defend his championship for the first time. Following that contest, the Irishman received some big offers from organisations all over the world but he decided to sign a brand-new, six-fight deal to stay in OKTAGON. He is intent on cementing his legacy and knows that to continue doing that, he must head into enemy territory and deliver another devastating performance.
Aras is a former LFL champion and Bellator veteran who made an immediate impact in his promotional debut last June by stopping Adam Pałasz due to strikes. He then went on to defeat Simon Biyong at OKTAGON 78 in Cologne and called his shot to compete for the title next. Aras has been one of the only names to request a fight with Fleury, displaying his self-belief and confidence, and has consequently been rewarded with the biggest opportunity of his career.
Some of the greatest names in German MMA have already been announced for the event in Berlin including rising superstar, Alina Dalaslan, and former title challenger, Niko Samsonidse. Furthermore, Attila Korkmaz will take on Dawid Śmiełowski and Niklas Stolze locks horns with Tyrone Pfeifer.
