The second week of the 2026 season of Dana White’s Contender Series delivered a packed night of finishes, highlighted by a spectacular knockout and six fighters ultimately securing UFC contracts.
Kaik Brito def. Namo Fazil via KO at 0:12 of round three
Kaik Brito scored the biggest win of the night in the main event, knocking out popular welterweight Namo Fazil in the opening seconds of the third round.
Brito previously competed on Contender Series in 2023, losing a decision to Oban Elliott. This time, he left Las Vegas with both a victory and a UFC contract.
Trent Miller def. Douglas Rodrigues via submission (Von Flue choke) at 1:04 of round two
Trent Miller overcame a difficult opening to submit Douglas Rodrigues in the co-main event, earning a contract after entering the fight as the night’s biggest underdog.
Christian Perez def. Logan Paxton via TKO at 1:06 of round two
Christian Perez made the most of his second Contender Series opportunity, stopping Logan Paxton and earning a UFC contract.
Perez had previously appeared destined for a contract before suffering a late collapse against Manoel Sousa last season.
Alik Lorenz def. Mahamed Aly via TKO at 2:23 of round one
Alik Lorenz also bounced back from a previous Contender Series defeat, overwhelming Mahamed Aly and earning a first-round TKO.
Both fighters had fallen short on the show in 2025 and entered the bout looking to make a stronger impression. Lorenz wasted little time doing exactly that, applying immediate pressure and unloading with punches until the fight was stopped.
The performance earned Lorenz his long-awaited UFC contract.
Roman Puga def. Taner Trembley via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
The night opened with a 15-minute battle between Roman Puga and Taner Trembley, with both fighters pushing through a grueling contest in pursuit of a UFC contract.
Puga established himself early with aggressive boxing and constant forward pressure. Trembley absorbed the punishment and gradually worked his way back into the fight, even hurting Puga during the third round.
Trembley could not find the finish, however, and Puga ultimately claimed a unanimous decision. Dana White was impressed enough with both fighters to award each of them a UFC contract.
Neither was able to celebrate in the cage, as both fighters were taken to the hospital immediately after the bout.
