Alexander Volkanovski believes Max Holloway will get his revenge against Conor McGregor when the two meet in the main event of UFC 329 next Saturday night.

Holloway is set to face McGregor at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, more than 13 years after the pair first squared off inside the Octagon. McGregor earned the victory in their first meeting in 2013, but Volkanovski is backing the former featherweight champion to even the score in their highly anticipated rematch.

The reigning UFC featherweight champion, who holds three victories over Holloway, shared his prediction in a video posted to his YouTube channel, saying he expects Holloway's pace and pressure to overwhelm McGregor.

“He's just going to eventually have his way. I'm going to have to go Max Holloway for the win. Can it be a finish? 100%. If Max gets you tired, he's so good at going in for the kill. And, yeah, he's even getting much better in the pocket. Justin Gaethje (at UFC 300) firing bombs, you know what I mean? Still being able to dodge the punches amongst that sort of brawl. I think it's just going to be too much for Conor, and you're going to just see Max get his hand raised, maybe get a finish.”

McGregor will be making his first walk to the Octagon in five years after recovering from the leg injury he suffered in his last fight against Dustin Poirier in 2021. Meanwhile, Holloway enters the bout looking to avenge the loss that came early in both fighters' UFC careers and hand McGregor a defeat in one of the biggest fights of the year.

A headline can emphasize either Volkanovski's prediction, Holloway's chances of a finish, or the history between Holloway and McGregor, depending on the angle you want to take.
