Joseph Morales and Roberto Sanchez, two undefeated flyweights yet to appear in the UFC, will face each other in Mexico City on August 5. The fight, set for UFC Fight Night 114, will mark the first time either man has appeared in the Octagon.
Sanchez, 7-0, is the current LFA flyweight champion, a title he picked up when submitting Jerome Rivera in June. Long considered a future UFC contender, the 31-year-old makes the move with five submission wins on his record and plenty of potential.
Team Alpha Male standout Morales, meanwhile, is unbeaten in eight professional fights and the younger man at 22. Last time out, in March, he stopped Sean Santella at CFFC 64. For more on Morales and his fascinating rise to the UFC, read Elliot Worsell’s profile of him from Friday.
UFC Fight Night 114 takes place at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico, and is headlined by a flyweight fight between top contenders Brandon Moreno and Sergio Pettis.
