Patrik Kincl proved once again why he sits at the top of OKTAGON’s pound for pound rankings, rallying in the third round of his bout against Piotr Wawrzyniak at OKTAGON 54.

Making his long awaited return ‘The Inspektor’ unified the division, with Wawrzyniak collecting the interim Middleweight strap in his promotional debut at OKTAGON 51.

The middleweight champion needed to call upon all of his experience when finding himself in serious trouble in the second round but turned the tides of the contest in the next stanza and cinched in a tight Arm Triangle choke to claim the win and claim the 5,000 Euro Performance of the night bonus.

Although losing the Akonne Wanliss vs Sahil Siraj bout was pulled the day of the show following an altercation between Wanliss and members of Siraj’s team, 6 of the Tipsport Gamechanger bouts went ahead, and threw up some surprising results. Following the altercation, the promotion confirmed that they have banned two people, for life, from attending future OKTAGON shows.

Lightweight champion Ronald Paradeiser was pushed the whole way by promotional newcomer Attila Korkmaz but the champion just managed to do enough to scrape a split decision win.

Makwan Amirkhani picked up his third consecutive loss at the hands of Mochamed Machaev, in the third round of their contest when he landed a clean right hand straight down the middle and sent Amirkhani falling to the mat.

Former KSW champion Daniel Torres secured his spot in the next round of the tournament when he cruised to a unanimous decision victory against Vladmir Lengal.

Mateusz Legierski made light work of his bout against Matous Kohout, submitting the Czech Republic native with a rear naked choke in the first round of their Gamechanger bout.

Acoidan Duque managed to add a win on OKTAGON to his ever impressive resume, against the extremely experienced Mohamed Grabinski. After 15 minutes, the judges were split as to who the victor of the bout was, with two of the judges scoring it in favour of Duque.

After missing weight, Hafeni Nafuka was also handed his first loss as a professional, with Predrag Bogdanovic taking control of the contest from the very first bell and working his way to a unanimous decision victory.

On the early preliminary portion of the card, Lukasz Rajewski and Milos Janicic picked up wins against Jason Ponet and Ebrahim Hosseinpour, respectively.

The final two bout of the opening round of the TipSport Gamechanger will go ahead when Akonne Wanliss meets Sahil Siraj at OKTAGON 56 and Losene Keita will face Agy Sadari on a future show, when the ‘Black Panter’ is back to full health.
