Shem Rock vs Jaroslav Pokorny will eventually happen.

OKTAGON 48 should’ve played home to the fight but after an altercation at the weigh ins, the bout did not go ahead.

The highly anticipated bout will go down at OKTAGON 58, infant of 28,000 fans at the Stadion Eden, Czech Republic.

At the OKTAGON 48 weigh ins, Rock fired a kick into the ribs of Pokorny, the bout was called off due to the doctor deciding it was not well for Pokorny to continue.

It was then largely discussed whether the two would ever meet inside the cage but it turns out that they will, following Rock’s most recent result. At OKTAGON 56, Rock showed why he was one of the most highly touted prospects in the sport when he defeated Stefano Catacoli in the first round of their contest via rear naked choke.

Prior to that, Rock made the walk twice for the promotion. In his promotional debut, the Next Generation man scored a draw against Athur Lima before securing a first round submission against Jan Malach.

Pokorny holds a 2-1 record from his last three, heading into the Rock bout. After a loss to Ahmed Vila, he defeated Can Aslaner and Jan Siroky before losing to Gjoni Palokaj at OKTAGON 53.

There is absolutely no love lost between Rock and Pokorny and when the pair eventually meet in the cage, no doubt carnage will ensue.

The bout is a welcome addition to what is already an extremely stacked card, with fan favourite Karlos Vemola looking to defend his belt against Attila Vegh in a Light Heavyweight contest. David Kozma will face Ion Surdu in a Welterweight bout as Acodian Duque takes on Mochamed Macheaev a quarter final match up of the Tipsport Gamechanger contest.
