UFC 303 was hit with yet another last minute change to the card with Carlos Ulberg now ruled out of his fight with Anthony Smith.
The monumental numbered event, set to go down this Saturday (June 29) has been hit with blow after blow, not least losing the main event between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler.
Over the weekend, it was confirmed that there will be another change to proceedings with Roman Dolidze stepping in to replace Carlos Ulberg and face Anthony Smith.
Ulberg was the replacement fighter to face former champion Jamahal Hill, when Khalil Rountree pulled out of their bout. Hill then was ultimately removed from the card and Ulberg then found himself facing Smith, before Ulberg had to withdraw.
Now Dolidze will step in to face and will be desparate to return to the form he was in when he first signed with the UFC.
First stepping in the Octagon back in 2020, the then unbeaten Dolidze racked up two impressive victories against Khadis Ibragimov and John Allen, to set up a contest against Trevin Giles. After a decision loss to Giles, Dolidze then went on a four fight winning streak, picking up wins against Laureano Staropoli, Kyle Daukaus, Phil Hawes and Jack Hermansson.
As of late, things have not been running smoothly for 'The Caucasian'.
Since 2022, the Georgian has only been able to make the walk twice, when he faced Marvin Vettori and Nassourdine Imavov, losing both by decision.
Although suffering a litany of opponent changes and pull outs, the UFC 303 card is still looking extremely strong, with Light Heavyweight champion Alex Pereira putting his title on the line when he faces Jiri Prochazka in the main event. Serving in the co main, the surging Diego Lopes will take on his biggest his biggest challenge to date, in Brian Ortega, in the co-main event.
