ONE Championship recently announced its upcoming return to Qatar in 2025 and now, the promotion has added some title fights to the card.
ONE 171 is set to take place on February 20 at the Lusail Sports Arena where two world championship bouts will top the card.
For MMA fans, the big attraction will be the co-main event offering that is set to take place in the strawweight division.
Titleholders Joshua Pacio and Jarred Brooks will unify the belts in their long awaited trilogy for the gold.
The two men first met at ONE 164 in 2022 where Brooks continued his undefeated streak since signing with the promotion to dethrone the champion via the scorecards.
Their rematch took place at the promotion's first event at this venue for ONE 166 earlier this year where Brooks was disqualified for spiking his opponent which led to the belt changing hands and going back to Pacio.
A significant injury shortly after has kept "The Passion" out for nearly a full year whilst in the mean time, his rival has claimed the interim title by submitting Gustavo Balart in August.
Brooks is also coming off of a recent loss at ONE Fight Night 26 where he went up to flyweight to take on Reece McLaren and came out on the wrong side of a decision.
The main event is set to feature the return of English star Jonathan Haggerty who will be putting his bantamweight kickboxing title on the line against China's Wei Rui.
A clash between top contenders in the featherweight MMA division has also been reported for the card with former champion Martin Nguyen taking on Shamil Gasanov who recently earned a big win over Halil Amir on December 6.
