OKTAGON closed out the year on December 29 with a memorable night of action from the O2 Arena in Prague.
OKTAGON 65 was one of the promotion's best cards to date but most importantly, the fights delivered and we saw some major changes to the current landscape.
Three titles have new holders following the promotion's final event of 2024 which was capped off with a blockbuster main event.
In the finals of the Tipsport Gamechanger Tournament, Losene Keita produced arguably his most impressive performance to date to defeat Ronald Paradeiser to become the new lightweight champion.
Keita's fast and explosive striker was too much for Paradeiser and in the battle of the top two pound-for-pound competitors in the promotion, "Black Panther" left no room for debate.
The co-main event saw Will Fleury continue his incredible run in the promotion to dethrone Czech superstar Karlos Vémola via an incredibly one-sided unanimous decision.
Ireland's Fleury was leagues ahead in the striking and showed that he could effectively grapple with "The Terminator" also in a performance which showed just how good the new light heavyweight champ is.
Cecilie Bolander may have stepped in on short notice for her vacant bantamweight title rematch with Lucie Pudilová but it didn't show in the fight.
She successfully avenged her loss with a gutsy display which saw her rally in the fifth round to earn the decision victory.
The nights other highlights came from a strong debut for Igor Severino who defeated former champion Jonas Mågård by split decision to prove his credentials.
The main card opener between Daniel Schwindt and Radovan Úškrt was a wild affair until Schwindt was able to turn the tables and get the finish in the second round.
On the prelims, some impressive finishes really stood out with Agy Sardari and Jakub Batfalský getting the job done without the judges being required.
