All of the headlines coming out of UFC on ESPN 68 will surely center around the bizarre last-minute cancellation of the main event between Maycee Barber and Erin Blanchfield.
Barber was not cleared to fight due to a medical issue, capping a bizarre fight week in Las Vegas which saw multiple weight misses and fight amendments at the weigh-in ceremony on Friday.
UFC on ESPN 68 Bonus Winners
Four athletes walked away with an extra $50,000 in bonus money thanks to standout performances inside the Octagon.
Here’s a breakdown of the night’s top earners:
Performance of the Night: Jordan Leavitt
Returning after an 18-month layoff, Jordan Leavitt (11-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC) wasted no time reminding fans of his grappling prowess. "The Monkey King" secured a slick anaconda choke against Kurt Holobaugh (22-9 MMA, 2-6 UFC), putting him to sleep just 1:39 into the first round. The impressive finish marked Leavitt’s third UFC bonus to date.
Performance of the Night: Ramiz Brahimaj
Ramiz Brahimaj (12-5 MMA, 4-3 UFC) delivered one of the most visually brutal submissions of the year, locking in a tight guillotine choke along the cage that forced Billy Ray Goff (11-4 MMA, 1-2 UFC) to tap just over three minutes into Round 1. Brahimaj’s aggressive grappling and quick finish earned him a well-deserved performance bonus.
Fight of the Night: Alice Ardelean vs. Rayanne Dos Santos
Kicking off the prelims, Alice Ardelean (10-7 MMA, 1-2 UFC) pulled off a notable upset over Rayanne Dos Santos (14-9 MMA, 0-3 UFC), outworking her over three rounds to earn a unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28). Ardelean was a considerable underdog heading into the bout, but her grit and cardio carried her to her first UFC victory—and a share of Fight of the Night honors.
