UFC lightweight contender Mateusz Gamrot has announced that he has signed a new multi-fight contract with the promotion ahead of his return to the Octagon later this month.
Gamrot (26-4 MMA, 9-4 UFC) shared the news on social media, revealing that he has reached a new agreement with the UFC as he prepares for his next bout against Australian prospect Quillan Salkilld (12-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC), which is scheduled to headline at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas on August 8.
"I’ve signed a multi deal with UFC!" Gamrot tweeted. "Another step begins in just two weeks, let’s gooo"
The 35-year-old also expressed his appreciation to the promotion for rewarding his performances and placing its faith in him as he continues his pursuit of UFC gold.
"I’m grateful to the UFC for the trust and for recognizing my hard work," Gamrot added. "Thank you for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to keep proving myself on the biggest stage in the world."
Gamrot has established himself as one of the lightweight division's top contenders since joining the UFC in 2020. The former KSW two-division champion has earned victories over several ranked opponents during his run with the promotion, cementing his place among the division's elite.
The announcement comes as Gamrot prepares for his next appearance inside the Octagon in two weeks, with the Polish standout aiming to build momentum in the stacked 155-pound division while beginning the next chapter of his UFC career under his new multi-fight deal.
