Ahead of the UFC's inaugural show in the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia, all 22 athletes set to compete took to the scales earlier today

Robert Whittaker, ever the consummate professional, came in for his 22^nd UFC contest under the weight, and though taking the bout on extremely short notice, Ikram Aliskerov still managed to successfully come in under the 186lbs limit. The two will be looking to establish themselves as the next in line to face the victor of Dricus Du Plessis and Israel Adesayna, when they compete for the Middleweight title at UFC 305.

In the co-main event, two of the hardest hitting heavyweights on the UFC roster will clash as Sergei Pavlovich takes on Alexander Volkov. Pavlovich returns to the Octagon on the back of his only the second loss of his career to Tom Aspinall for the UFC interim Heavyweight title. Prior to that, the Russian had built an impressive 6 fight win streak, with all victories coming in the very first round. Volkov’s last loss as also to Aspinall back in 2022 but since then, ‘Drago’ has built a three fight win streak with wins against Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Alexandr Romanov and Tai Tuivasa.

The card will also see Kelvin Gastelum look get his career back on track against Daniel Rodriguez, as both men enter their Welterweight clash on the back of one and two losses, respectively. Both men are very well established in the UFC and will both be keen to have another run towards Welterweight gold. However, Gastelum admitted to the media that he was struggling to make the weight and the bout will now be contested at Middleweight. Undefeated Middleweight Shara Magomedov also returns to the fold. ‘Bullet’ will face Antonio Trocoli, the third scheduled opponent he has had for the fight night.

Johnny Walker will look to get his hand raise for the first time since May 2023 when he faces Volkan Oezdemir. Nasrat Haqparast finds himself of some of his most impressive form since signing with the UFC, heading into his contest against Jared ‘Flash’ Gordon. ‘Flash’ comes into the bout fresh of an incredible victory against Mark Madsen at UFC 295.
