Fourth athletes missed weight ahead of the 2024 PFL Playoffs but only one of those to miss is involved in a Playoff bout.
The card, which takes place at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium, will see a number of showcase bouts, with the main card playing host to the Heavyweight and Female Flyweight Playoffs of the 2024 Season.
In the main event, Heavyweights will collide as top seed, Denis Goltsov takes on Tim Johnson. Johnson made the most of his last minute call up to the second week of the regular season, with his first round stoppage against Danilo Marques being enough to scrape through into the Playoffs. There was almost a 20lbs discrepancy when they took to the scales, with Goltsov coming in at 247.6lbs and Johnson weighing 265.8lbs.
In what is becoming somewhat of a normality for the unbeaten British prospect, Dakota Ditcheva finds herself in another co-main event, as she takes on Jena Bishop. Both women stepped on the scales a the exact same weight, 125.5lbs.
The weights of both athlete’s are a lot closer in the other Playoff bout between Oleg Popov and Linton Vassell. Popov tipped the scales at 247.3lbs and Vassell came in at 248lbs.
MMA veteran Liz Carmouche tipped the scales at 127lbs ahead of her Flyweight Playoff against Talia Santos, 1lbs over the 126lbs limit. Because of this, Carmouche will be fine 20% of her purse, which will
Sergio Cossio came in way over the 156lbs limit for his Lightweight showcase bout against Dedrek Sanders, stepping on the scales at an astonishing 162.8lbs. The bout will still go ahead but has now been changed to a 163lbs Catchweight bout. Like Carmouche, Cossio will be fined 20% of his purse.
Both Jaleel Willis and Anthony Ivy missed the mark ahead of their Welterweight contest, coming in at 172.6lbs and 172.8lbs respectively. With both men missing weight, neither man will be fined and the contest will go ahead as a 173lbs contracted weight, showcase bout.
