Tuesday night saw the long-awaited return of Dana White’s Contender Series at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
The opening week of season nine was made up of five bouts, giving ten up-and-coming prospects the opportunity to compete in front of UFC President Dana White for the chance to win a UFC contract.
There was a lack of exciting finishes on the card, with only Baisangur Susurkaev – who stopped Murtaza Talha in the opening round – managing to pick up a stoppage victory. The other four fights all went to the judge’s scorecards.
