The 2025 PFL World Tournament wrapped up in Hollywood, Florida on Thursday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. New champions were crowned in the middleweight, heavyweight, and light heavyweight brackets.

Middleweight Final

The main event spotlighted Fabian Edwards (16-4) of Birmingham, who went toe-to-toe with American Top Team’s Dalton Rosta (11-2). Rosta leaned on his grappling from the start, repeatedly driving Edwards to the cage and working for takedowns. Edwards refused to be smothered, escaping time and again and returning fire with sharp strikes. By the third round, Edwards found his opening. A ruthless elbow, a punishing body shot, and a perfectly timed head kick secured Edwards the middleweight tournament crown in emphatic fashion.

Heavyweight Final

In the co-feature, the Heavyweight title bout between Moldova’s Alexandr Romanov (19-4) and Russia’s Oleg Popov (22-2) was a grinding war of attrition. Popov seized the early advantage with leg kicks and forward pressure, but Romanov answered back by forcing clinch exchanges and wearing down his opponent with knees. The fight swayed back and forth over five rounds, with Popov closing strong in the later minutes. After the final horn, the judges delivered a split-decision nod to Popov, crowning him the heavyweight tournament champion.

Light Heavyweight Final

Kicking off the championship triple-header, light heavyweights Sullivan Cauley (8-2) and Antonio Carlos Jr. (19-6) got off to a fast start. Both men scored knockdowns in a wild opening frame that had the crowd on its feet. Cauley started the second with momentum, but an eye poke and a cut disrupted his rhythm. Carlos Jr. took full advantage, grounding the fight and securing a rear-naked choke that forced the tap. With the finish, Carlos Jr. reclaimed his place as PFL light heavyweight champion and banked a $500,000 payday.
