Justin Gaethje says he is prepared for whatever lightweight champion Ilia Topuria brings to the cage when the two fighters meet in a highly anticipated title unification bout at the White House on Saturday evening.

The interim lightweight champion (27-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC) will challenge Topuria (17-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) in the main event of the historic card staged on the South Lawn of the White House, with the undisputed 155-pound title on the line.

Topuria enters the matchup riding a wave of momentum after a series of high-profile knockout victories over former champions Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway, and Charles Oliveira. Despite the champion’s recent dominance, Gaethje expressed confidence in his preparation and experience ahead of the fight.

Speaking with TNT Sports, Gaethje admitted that his ideal outcome would be an early finish but emphasized that he is fully prepared for a grueling championship battle if necessary.

“I always say, ‘Perfect is he goes to sleep on the first shot I throw.’ You know, that's what we all wish for,” Gaethje said. “But I'm ready for 25 minutes. Twenty-five minutes against one of the greatest guys in the lightweight division at this current moment, number two on the pound-for-pound list.”

Gaethje believes his veteran experience and trademark aggression will be key factors against the undefeated champion.

“And I am prepared, I am ready, I have the experience, and I'm going to make it a fight,” he said. “That's what I do.”

The clash between Gaethje and Topuria headlines one of the most unique events in mixed martial arts history, with the lightweight division set to crown an undisputed champion on one of the most recognizable stages in the world.
